Eyebrows: Vanita Parti
Widely recognised for introducing walk-in brow bars into our everyday lives, Vanita Parti launched the renowned Blink Brow Bar in 2004. Now situated in the UK's leading department stores; Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Fenwicks, Vanita Parti has taken threading to a national level whilst establishing herself as the ultimate brow expert.
"We simply don't pay enough attention to eyebrows. It should be a basic beauty essential. Our mission is to change the way people think about their eyebrows by offering a speedy drop in service in the style of a nail bar. My ideas came from not being able to get an appointment for threading as well as not having time for a lengthy spa treatment every time my brows needed a tweak."
Previously, threading was an untapped secret only available in Indian districts around London. Threading is an ancient Indian skill passed down through generations to give women perfect brows that last much longer than waxed or tweezed ones.
Blink Brow Bar was the first walk in brow bar in London and it served to change Western women's approach to eyebrow plucking. Following the success of Blink in Fenwick's, Vanita approached Selfridges and Harvey Nichols who were desperate for a threading service.
Blink now has six concessions and boasts celebrity clients such as Girls Aloud and Laura Bailey.
Vanita has a team of 95 Indian threaders who are all put through a rigorous training process.
Blink Brow Bars are located in Selfridges London and Manchester, Harvey Nichols, Fenwicks in London and Brent Cross and Terminal 5.
