Sewing Expert Dawn Wood says:
For the hairpiece worn with this dress use a plain large hair comb, or Alice band, available from most chemists and accessory shops such as Claire’s.
Taking some ribbon wrap it tightly along the full length of the comb or Alice band ( if using a comb it goes between the teeth and then around the top edge) tucking the ends under the wrapping to secure them and stitch in place. This then gives you a surface to attach your decoration. You can then go to town using bits of jewellery, beads, flowers, sequins, lace and ribbons until, you reach the desired effect.Barnett Lawson Trimmings
