As those of you who follow us on Twitter ( @cherylcolestyle ) will know, we spent Monday morning in the company of celebrity hairstylist Mellissa Brown and our fab model, Hannah, filming some videos for our ‘how to get the Cheryl hairstyle’ series. You told us which looks you wanted…and we did them. These will be going up shortly.
In the meantime, it will not have escaped your attention that Cheryl’s solo performance of ‘Fight for This Love’ on Sunday night’s X Factor Results Show 2 featured a rather nifty side bun hairstyle.
We will be showing you how to do this yourself with our video guide, in due course, but in the meantime Mellissa has written a few, short quick tips for those of you wanting to recreate the look at home.

Cheryl wore her hair in her signature hair do – a big blow dry and back combed roots to give lots of volume…Sunday: X Factor Live Results Show 2
You can achieve this by putting a pony tail in, then place a sponge doughnut around the base.
(You can buy doughnuts in Boots) Once this is in place pin hair around the doughnut …this will give you a very full bun. Finish with spray.
