Sunday night saw Cheryl going 360 degrees, wearing a modern edgy rock meets futuristic outfit: a silver sequin Julien McDonald dress hot off the spring 2010 catwalk and it couldn’t t be more now!
Future already a strong trend for autumn will carry through all the way to spring. She went for an all out high fashion statement: short, silver, sequin, sassy and seductive… Large fish scale like sequins skimmed the body whilst revealing some skin through fine nude net panels…sharp pointed shoulders also carrying through from the current season
kept up the rock and space themes… the jury is out at the moment whether it was too catwalk. But who better to show off raw catwalk than the young pop icon: Cheryl Cole. Many fabulous silver sequin dresses will be appearing soon in the high street no doubt in slightly watered down versions.
She wore highest pair of heels from the newer breed of high end shoe designers, Rupert Sanderson.
Called Plato they were from his forthcoming spring summer collection. Plato: peep toe metallic sling backs with a new twist modern cut out detailing…hint of rivets for hardness and curves for subtle femininity… Interesting styling and clever not to go for the clichéd pointed toe heels. It was all that was needed to finish off this dramatic look. The dress said it all.
It was a weekend of sharp contrast, Cheryl showing off her range and versatility when it comes to fashion and judging.
