Cheryl Cole’s 80s Style Tartan Hairband and Buckle Belt

Pictured on her way to Dublin to perform at the Black Eyed Peas gig, Cheryl is wearing a red and black tartan headband by designer Eugenia Kim.
It’s definitely a kooky look, for sure…but not up there with our style favourites, I’m afraid! What do you think?
Whilst some have compared this headband to that worn by the late Paula Yates (*Mother of the Geldof girls), we happen to think a better comparison to draw is with Madonna in the ’80s film ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’.
(*** And how appropriate in a week that has seen one of our favourite TV programmes, Glee, pay their own tribute to Madonna….)
Hairband aside, Cheryl wears a utilitarian, military style khaki sludge green cotton shirt by Current/Elliot, worn over skinny jeans.
We like her double-buckle belt the most; perfect for instantly cinching in your waist and creating a perfect silhouette.
