Celebrity Stylist Miss Molly says:
Not exactly blinding with colour, but not monochrome the first time this season, in Live Show Week 3 Cheryl Cole wore a beautifully chic blush pink maxi gown by Hanna Marie Hutchinson’s self titled line, HMH. She looked divine.
This dress reinforced last week’s assessment – that the judges dresses need to be interesting on the top so that when they are seen with the desk chopping off everything below the empire line, they have a décolleté and strap detailing to make an impact. Cheryl’s Vosovic and Murad dresses in the first week were perfect for this as was her gorgeous Versus dress last Saturday (which was that lampshade shape I was talking about, see how good it looks on her?!). These dresses worked because they had interest, but a simplistic interest with well placed details that I applaud. This gown was certainly the most simplistic so far, but it was teamed with the most perfectly matched De Grisogono bauble earrings and proved there is an art to getting it right, and get it right she did. The overall effect was stunning.
The delicate oyster pink and fluid drapery of the silk jersey worked a treat with her fiery red tresses, the glistening Christmassy baubles bouncing around her lobes bringing the whole look together flawlessly.
As a casual observer, it seems to have been a difficult week for Cheryl. She has been under the spotlight several times, with her Guardian Interview as well as her sit down with Piers Morgan. It has been an emotional week, and I can quite honestly say I would not like to experience Cheryl’s recent torments privately let alone publicly. I feel her outfit choice suited her retort to this mood perfectly; grown up, demure, chic, classy, stoic, simple, no frills and honest. Honestly divine. Just like our Cheryl.
