Fashion Stylist Hannah Marti-Wearing says:

Saturday

Nude doesn’t really count as a being ‘colourful’ but when black has been on Cheryl’s agenda for the past two weeks, it’s fair to say that it made a lively change and it was refreshing to see Cheryl move away from black.

It was also the first night that we saw Cheryl in an evening gown rather than a signature mini.  The designer for the night was HMH Couture, not a name you might recognise, but the label specialises in evening wear, and is the creation of Hanna Marie Hutchinson who graduated from the London College of Fashion and University for the Creative Arts, as a relative unknown, Hanna has slowly been making a name for herself by designing and creating a bespoke service offering couture evening dresses. Supporting young designers, much as she did last year, Cheryl wore an exclusive gown from the HMH Spring/Summer 2011 collection; it was a nude pink silk jersey, maxi dress with flesh revealing cut-out sides and a twisted detail at the navel.

Nude palettes going into camel tones were massive in the Autumn/Winter 2010 collections and these colours have extended into the Spring/Summer season. Maxi skirts were also a big trend for Fall, so it’s not surprising Cheryl found this gown so appealing. Not only was the colour and length spot on, but the high neckline cut-out sides and twisted detail gave the gown personality and bought a bit of Cheryl’s own style to an evening dress, she also finished the look with a stunning pair of de Grisogono globe earrings.

Sunday

Flying the flag for new talent again, Cheryl Cole showed off an exciting and adventurous emerging talent in the form of Kristian Aadnevik.

Cheryl stepped out in a dazzling one-sleeved white micro-mini with graphic silver stripes from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The dress was literally straight off the catwalk, as it was seen just last month debuting at London Fashion Week. The Norwegian designer launched his own label in 2004 and has been making a name for himself on the London fashion scene ever since.

The dress was young, sexy and exciting; and much more like the Cheryl we’re used to seeing. Cheryl finished the look with Nicholas Kirkwood black strappy peep toe ankle boots, although they’re on trend and look amazing, heavy ankle boots have the tendency to cut and shorten Cheryl’s legs instead of making them look longer.

Overall a good weekend for Cheryl and we can’t finish without mentioning those Wolford bondage tights…they’ve been causing a stir since she first wore them in the video for her new single ‘Promise This’, the interwoven ribbon design that ends at hold-up height with a transparent top, look incredible and are selling fast…definitely at the top of my ‘Want’ list!
