Cheryl Cole’s Nails are Flawless Nude Nails

British Nail Professional of the Year 2009 Liza Smith says:

Cheryl has chosen the most up to date trend of flawless nude nails.

This look has grown increasingly over the last 3-4 seasons.
It started with Make-up artist Georgina Graham for Ashish 4 seasons ago, when we decided to match the models nails exactly with the colour of their skin.
The enamel has to be opaque to achieve the “flawless foundation” look.
The models ranged from pale to ebony, and we needed 7 different shades.

For a few years now, our team backstage at fashion weeks have been “custom-blending” enamels to get the exact look.  The skin tone colours can be matched to your skin tone by gradually adding white or chocolate brown to lighten or darken the beige base. If you want to custom blend your own skin colour, you need to use a high end or professional brand of enamel, eg CND.
It will not work if you mix different brands, as the consistency will not be the same, and you may get separation.

There is another way of achieving this look, and that is to have a well qualified nail technician to custom blend your skin tone in Liquid and Powder (acrylic) or gel.
CND have been teaching this technique for 6 yrs, and it is a fabulous option for those os us who dont sit down long enough to let our nails dry!

This is a look that I have been using on Victoria Beckham for 6 months now.
Cheryl does have Liquid and Powder nails, which obviously suits her busy lifestyle.
