Cheryl kicked off this years X Factor Live Shows with a bang on trend asymmetrical mini dress by Project Runway finalist New Yorker, Daniel Vosovic.
I loved the nod to McQueen with the classic Gothic styling of the dress, and black lace detailing was prevalent on the runways for Fall 2010, with strong pieces from Givenchy and Missoni. The hem length kept the look fresh and young, and the asymmetrical ruched shoulder detail ensured the frock stayed couture and not too goth froth.
Cheryl teamed the dress with uber luxe black diamond disco ball earrings by the beautifully decadent De Grisogono brand and some black Gladiator style boots by Italian label Valentino.
I would have preferred to see more unexpected and exciting footwear with her look, but as we really see the waist up on the show I think the earring and dress choice was perfect. All too often panellists and judges over accessorise their top half with as many accessories as they can find but I truly believe that simplicity is the key to making a statement. As Mademoiselle Coco famously said, you should always remove one thing before you leave the house, lets just hope the item Cheryl removed was a necklace.
